day 3 more and more attached

day 3 of bible school started alot better this one little boy his name is Ruben he is so cute once he say me todya he ran in and jumped on me and was like mommy and it almost made me cry it was so cute. he always comes up to me and gets on my back and he always wants to be with me. then Brenda she is only 3 years old and she told me she loved me today and i just wanted to cry shes always following me every where and always wants to be held. they listen to me very well i am very seriouse with them. i dont raise my voice i just give them this look and they know im being seriouse. i partisipate in everything with them and i think they enjoy that very much. i spend time with all of them and we have really bonded. its like we are a little family now and i dont want to leave that behind. ik i have a family at home but now i have one here to and they need me more. but we are trying ot get Jerry to bring us back next summer we have meet alot of new and interesting people, horhay, horhay jr, omar, uvon, pastor steve, pastor adam and his wife, prasilla ( horhays daughter), and socorro (horhays wife). they are all unique in there own way they are fun to be around and its easy to talk to them. we have all had a new expierience in a new place. and i think we have all had a new spiritual journey.

  1. I must confess that I have had some catching up to do with the blog. Like you have all said it is so easy to get bogged down with the day to day when you are at home. I remember the feeling you are all experiencing - the light and free feeling - when you aren't focused on to do lists and troubles and are focued on building relationships and sharing God's love with every single person you see. Which really is the way we should think every day. (How do we fall so short of our calling?) You have a great opportunity to reset the way you think, your habits and the way you go through each day. And it is a good reminder for all of us at home to change the way we think about and the purposes we have for each day.

Beth and Jeff are right - the names, face and voices of the kids and the new friends you have met will never leave you! And the bond that is being formed between all of you as a missionary team will remain.

When you come back I hope you all can lead us, with the energy you bring back for missions, in finding and making oportunities to do missions in our own community until we can return to New Mexico again! North Liberty and Iglesia have a bond that can not be broken. Bring us back some of that attitude of lightheartedness and thankfulness for our blessings – we could all use a dose. ;)

I hope you get the chance to spend extra quiet time in communion with God. Let him refresh you, refocus you and show you the plan he has for you.

I am excited to hear ALL the stories and see ALL the pictures. Thank you for sharing your experiences so far and for the little reminders of New Mexico that I needed.

Sorry I missed your call Autumn – I was nice to hear the music in the background! I am excited to see the mystery video.

Tell Adam, Ester and all the others I say hello.

    Blessings to you all,
    Steph
