Sunday's Happenings

We started our day out today later than usual. It was nice to sleep in! Our first church service we went to was at Iglesia Hispana. I got to meet Adam and his wife. They are such wonderful people, and boy does Adam have a voice!! The service was wonderful. We sang great songs and had a great sermon. After the service, we were generously given lunch. We had some real, good Mexican food. We then set up for VBS at the First Presbyterian Church in Dexter. We stayed there until the next service, where we had a Methodist pastor preach, in english and in spanish. After that service, we got another wonderful meal, prepared by Jorge and his family. It's been a great honor to be on this trip. Today after dinner Autumn asked me to make one more tissue paper flower. After I had finished the flower this little girl named Amy asked how I made it, and if I could show her how to do it. As I was showing her how to make the flower, she was so excited, and asked me if I was an artist. That showed me that it doesn't take much to make people happy. I realized that I should be more like my friend Amy and go with the flow.

  1. Sarah it is amazing how much we take for granted. We have so much and even those around us we consider in need have so much more than well off down there. I pray that God will show you how to give more of yourself to the people you are there to serve. You have a big heart and God will help you share your love to His people.
